Cheese is a wool fibre that has been produced on our carding line for the spinning machine. This fibre has been partially made into the first structure of a yarn. It has not been twisted, it has simply been 'rubbed' together. The fibre strand has little strength until it has been twisted.
This fibre is perfect for beginner spinners who are learning the craft of spinning. It is also a great fibre for experienced spinners who can blend this 'rubbed' fibre with other natural or man made fibres to produce some exciting yarn combinations. This fibre can be felted.
The origin of this fibre is from 22.5 micron Merino Sheep from the western district of Victoria.
