A hardworking, versatile wool top for practical fibre projects — the Crossbred Wool Top at 35 Micron is a robust, natural fibre perfect for stuffing, felting and spinning. With its characteristic natural colour and occasional black fibres running through, this wool has an honest, organic beauty that suits rustic, natural and textural projects beautifully.
This 450g pack is ideal for smaller projects, sampling the fibre, or trying your hand at feltmaking and spinning before committing to a larger quantity — generously priced and ready to get started.
Important — Please Read Before Purchasing
This is a 35 micron crossbred wool. At this micron count, the fibre does not have the soft, next-to-skin handle of finer Merino tops such as our 17.5 micron or Tasmanian Merino ranges. It is a coarser, more robust fibre — and that is precisely what makes it ideal for its intended applications. If you are looking for a soft, fine fibre for garments or next-to-skin wear, we recommend our 17.5 Micron Merino Wool Top or Scoured Tasmanian Merino instead.

A Note on Colour
This wool top is natural in colour with some black fibres present throughout — a characteristic of crossbred wool that gives it an organic, flecked appearance. It is not a uniform white and is not recommended for projects requiring a pure white or consistent base for dyeing. For a bright, even dyeable base, please see our 17.5 Micron Merino Wool Top or Scoured Tasmanian Merino.
