Both Merino and silk are protein fibres that take acid dye beautifully — the silk content in particular absorbs colour with an exceptional vibrancy and luminosity. The nylon content will absorb some dye but may take colour slightly differently, adding a subtle tonal variation that enhances rather than detracts from the finished result.
