Made from 100% Australian wool and processed locally, this is a genuinely versatile fibre for the experienced maker — perfect for producing chunky, characterful handspun yarn, felting projects of all kinds, or as a premium natural stuffing material.

Important — Please Read Before Purchasing

This is a low-weight sliver with a short staple length of approximately 35mm. Due to the short fibre length, this roving is not recommended for beginner spinners — short staple fibres require more experience to draft and control on the wheel or spindle. For beginner-friendly spinning fibre, we recommend our Cheese Wool Fibre or Carded Sliver instead.

Experienced spinners will find this roving produces a wonderfully thick, textured yarn of approximately 20 ply equivalent — full of natural character and charm.

Takes Dye Beautifully This fibre is exceptionally receptive to dye — both acid dyes and natural dyes work wonderfully, producing rich, vibrant colour with an even, consistent uptake across the fibre. An excellent choice for yarnistas who want to spin their own custom-coloured yarn from scratch.
